COVID-19 Guidelines: Children will be at least 6 feet apart in the classroom, outside setting, and on the van.


DAILY SCHEDULE
 

Monday – Friday

  8:30 AM - 9:15 AM: Breakfast and Morning Meeting (Discuss Daily Expectations)
  9:15 AM - 9:30 AM: Community Circle
  9:30 AM – 11:15 AM: English Language Arts Block
11:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Mental/Movement Break and Bathroom Break
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Math Block Part A
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch and Social Skill 
  1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Math Block Part B
  2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Social Studies/Science (Alternating Days)
  2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Encore (Arts, P.E., Music, Library or Spanish)
  3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Personalized Support Time
  3:30 PM – Program Ends

 

Virtual Learning Labs:

Each student will be set up at a table with their learning materials including their Chromebook and headphones.


Educational Staff:

Richmond Public Schools provide the virtual instruction in subject content areas via the students’ Chromebook.
 

Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) Staff:

Will provide the following services: 

  • Cognitive Behavioral Programming (monitoring, observing, redirecting, and counseling throughout the school day) 

  • Psycho-educational Groups (teaching anger control, pro-social skills, problem-solving, coping strategies, effective communication, and more) 

  • Individual Therapy (one on one counseling each week to assist with the student's individual needs) 

  • Group Therapy (counseling with a small group to practice and process new skills and influences on behavior) 

  • Family Therapy (the student's case manager will contact the guardian each week to review progress and assist with any issues at home) 

  • Care Coordination (the student's case manager will communicate regularly with his or her teachers and any other mental health treatment providers involved) 

  • Crisis Intervention and Stabilization (to evaluate a mental health crisis situation that places the student or his/her peers in harm's way)

  • Bi-Monthly Therapeutic recreation and socialization activities 

  • Quarterly family nights and parenting workshops

  • Daily level system to track the students’ progress (incentive rewards)
